Volunteers are what make this and most great events possible. If you are a supportive part of the swim community and you have time either on race day or in the months before the race to help, we would love to hear from you, please contact Jane Fletcher, our Volunteer Coordinator by email, at volunteer@acrossthelakeswim.com, and let us know your interests.

Calling all boaters!

We need several power boats to carry Lifeguards during the swim. If you’d like to be a part of this incredible race, would love to be on the lake early in the morning and have some time to spare on Saturday, July 16th, 2011, we would love to hear from you. Lifeguard Volunteers

Expand your Lifeguarding experience to open water swim events – while working on your tan! This year, the Interior Savings Across The Lake Swim will have 5 waves, a maximum of 500 swimmers and a need for lots of lifeguard support, both on the water and on each shore.

Each volunteer lifeguard will be provided a free custom ATLS lifeguard shirt, a letter acknowledging their participation to add to their resume and work experience, and of course, all the Okanagan sunshine and admiration that you can bask in.

The swim begins at approximately 8AM on Saturday July 16th and your duties will end when the swimmers are all out of the water, approximately 90 minutes later. You are welcome to join the festivities after that, and there will be prizes just for the volunteers.
